(from hackney archives) view of curtain road, the shoreditch area was the centre of the london furniture trade. i like the portable,things on wheels in these images- possible link to the portable pinhole cameras for the shedscientist event- wheel them round taking photos?

(from hackney archives ) there was a theatre on curtain road- above, from 1577 to 1598.

looked at around 40 images of curtain road, not of which seem to reference the actual site.need to look at the directories of businesses to ascertain former land use.

a brief initial visit, need longer there.....
